Full Scale Millenium Falcon

This popped up on my FB timeline, a link I shared 3 years ago, something my friend uploaded. It was regarding a full scale Millenium Falcon being built for Episode VII. That link is here.

This article reminded me of a fan full scale Falcon project. You can check out their progress here.

Must catch up on their progress, been a while since I checked out the site. The last time I checked, they didn’t have an FB page like they do now.

SW:GOH Update

A month since my last GOH update and what a month it has been. The game itself has changed a bit with the new addition of Ships. This addition will make you upgrade toons you previously didn’t care about. More on ships later. First, update on my toons:

This is my top tier now, and as you can see, it’s totally different from my last update. Good news is that I’ve finished Rey and RG, so it’s only gear, mods and abilities updates from now on.

Second tier looks good as well, main highlight is Wedge who I’m working on for my Rebel team and Old Daka for Galactic Wars. Take note of Ima-Gun Di, who I will be 5-starring soon for the Jedi Mod challenge and Grand Master challenge.

The rest of the toons have lesser priority, except for those I need for Ships, which are TIE Fighter Pilot, Mace Windu, Clone Sergeant, Tarkin and Resistance Pilot. Not actively farming them yet though, but I am gearing them up slowly. I’ve also been working on Teebo for the Rancor raids, but I’m prob gonna stop farming through GW for now in order to get Wedge’s fighter.

These are the ships I have now, and Tarkin’s ship which isn’t in the pic. Looks like I might have to start farming JC again for Ships. One nice thing bout the Ships update is that I got a whole bunch of toons, such as Mace and Tarkin. Even got shards for Akbar which let me 7-star him 2 weeks ahead of schedule. I’m loving the Ships update, adds a new dimension to the game (and gives you a lot more to do as well).

So I’ve been focusing on gear lately, stuck at gear VIII on my top toons, only QGJ is at gear X. Mod farming has been put on hold since I’m using Cantina energy to farm Wedge. Need to get him up to speed fast. Even at 4 stars he’s amazing, can’t wait till I max him out.

And the slow grind continues.

Ah, MASK, short for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, one of the cartoon series I enjoyed back in the day. Comics Alliance has written a great article on MASK. You can check out the article here. Do watch the video that they put up.

I still have some of my old MASK toys at my parents’ place, will probably just leave it there, my wife already complains that I have too much “junk” at home.

Must find time to write bout the other cartoons I enjoyed watching while growing up. Anyway, links below as usual.

Top of the Table

Been quite busy lately so I haven’t had a chance to post much. Anyway, current Premier League table below:

No more joint top nonsense, my beloved Reds are now clearly at the top. It’s still very early in the season and Liverpool have been in this position before and it didn’t really work out then, so it’s very premature to talk bout ending the title drought and whatnot.

Lots of analysis on how Liverpool has been doing online, so I’m not gonna talk bout it here. I like the way the boys are playing (except for the dodgy defense), but again, it’s still early  in the season.

But still, it’s good to be top, let’s keep the momentum boys, walk on….

Battletech is a series that I’ve been following for a long time, since the late 80s actually. I was first introduced to it through the PC game Battletech: The Crescent Hawk’s Inception. The game itself was brilliant, and the follow up The Crescent Hawk’s Revenge was one of the first real-time  games.

Anyway, the first Battletech Novel I read was Warrior: Coupe and it helped that Michael A. Stackpole was the author, he’s just awesome. FYI, Stackpole is also known for writing some great Star Wars Novels (now considered part of the Legends series). And from that point, I just immersed myself in the Battletech universe, and boy, was the universe huge.

It’s a pity the franchise kinda slowed down after FASA sold it to Wizkids (who nearly destroyed the franchise). The franchise slowly recovered after Topps acquired it, but there still hasn’t been as much growth as compared to the 90s.

But the good news is, at least there’s a new Battletech game coming out, and it will be based on the 3025-era. You can check it out here and here.

Hopefully the game can rekindle interest in Battletech and we can see more novels and stuff come out.
